There really isn’t a specific APTA CEU tracker and the FSBPT “aPTitude” tracker was discontinued in 2019. So that leaves PTs tracking CEUs on their own or with a paid for CEU tracker. I don’t see the point of paying for basically a spreadsheet to track my CEUs.

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) requires you to take 30 CMHs (certification maintenance hours) of continuing education / professional development during each 3 year certification interval in order to maintain the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).

Plus with the Google Doc version, you can modify columns and make it your own! AOTA CEU Tracker Tracking your ASHA CMH is simple with the template. The American Occupational Therapy Association does not have a specific AOTA CEU tracker, but the NBCOT does have a handy chart explaining what qualifies as CAUs or Competency Assessment Units. Even though some professional organizations call ‘continuing education’ by a different name, the basic idea is the same: we all need to complete a certain number of ‘hours/units/credits/’ while keeping track of our progress in case of an audit. The Board of Certification does not have a specific ATC CEU tracking tool, but does require an extensive amount of continuing education in order to renew your ATC credentials. You can read this article for the full BOC ATC CEU requirements. Waiting until the last minute to complete your CEUs is something you might be able to control with a bit more organization. Instead of cramming in a few extra last minute CEUs, take a look at your CEU tracker and see how many more courses you need. Then you can split it up among the weeks leading up to your license renewal. Whenever I finish an in person course or sit through an inservice from a colleague, I take a picture of the material or certificate to keep record in case I lose the physical copy. I’ve transitioned to keeping track of all my CEUs on my Google Drive account now, but it really helps to get in the habit of snapping a picture of the certificate or handout the day I complete the educational activity. If you like to keep the physical copies of the lectures for the entire year (or 3 years like our SLP friends) it helps to make a binder and to include an easy to use tracker on the cover.

That way, you can quickly see what courses you’ve taken, and if you’re extra organized, you can make tabs and quickly reference each lecture if you want a refresher.DIRECTORY SEARCH: Licensure inquiries and verifications may be made in this Directory.
